E(pot)= m.g.h

Thursday, June 24, 2010 § 5

A porcelain ornament. A beautiful, captivating one.

It broke. So you picked it up. Mended it.

Just for it to drop again.

What's this?

  • mimiqt says:

it's E for energy eh. what a long lost forgotten thing in my mind.

ape kaitan dengan porcelain? and pot: teapot??

my head might just be too dumb at the moment.
    esok exam. awesome timing.

  • Muz says:

Ah. A curious one I see. Here let me explain.

See when we pick things up higher than the ground, the object has obtained a Gravitational Potential Energy, or E(pot). And this energy is what brings objects down to the ground. See the word "drop" above? Good girl! No relations on the porcelain though, just the drop being the emphasis here. Though don't you think when a porcelain drops and breaks, it makes the most awesome image, like, EVER?

    Note: pot: potential

  • mimiqt says:

owh. nice one. I love commenting on your blog and actually forgotten to check the response afterwards.

Now the equation makes sense and the porcelain image means deeper. :)
